Half the fun of visiting Bermuda is leaving New York City on a Celebrity ship. I tried to alleviate a daughter-in-law’s fear of ships by telling her they had stabilizers, and that the trip over and back would be like riding a hotel room in New York City. The sea going over provided 40-foot waves, a fearsome ride for a landlubber, and my daughter-in-law has not listened to me since. Bermuda is a marvelous English island, cared for nicely, and offers an assortment of activities not readily available elsewhere. Lovely, just lovely.
Please excuse the old pictures. They were taken with an early digital camera in 2000 with only 640 pixels on the long dimension, re-sized to 1024.
