Day one in Dubai offered the excitement of viewing a city where money is no object, the natives are supported by gushers of oil money, and most labor is performed by imported, foreign born workers. Today’s excursion covered the old town by the river, the Dubai Museum, and a walk through a spice market and gold alley. The most refreshing point of the day was a diet coke delivered by a waiter in gold alley while waiting for our return bus ride back to the Quest.
