Patmos is the Greek Isle made famous by the apostle John, who was exiled to the island for a period of time where he was believed to have written the book of Revelation. The island covers only six square miles, has 6,000 residents, and a relaxed atmosphere. It is possible to walk across the island from Skala, its only commercial port, to the other side in five minutes. Chora is perched on top of the mountain and is its capital city.
