Italy’s Venice is like no other city on the face of the world. The old city on one island, and several of the islands, are purely pedestrian malls. There are no cars, trucks, motorcycles, motor bikes, or other means of motorized transportation, except by water. The city folks, with a quarter-million residents, either walk where they are going, or they go by boat. This is the trademark of Venice. Other cities claim to be the Venice of Russia, or China, or India, but none approach the original. The following pictures are a feeble attempt to share Venice without actually being there. If you have been there this is a refresher. Venice is a hoot! Enjoy!!
