The Quest entered the island group through a tropical squall, and five minutes later the sun was out across the islands. Virgin Gorda is a nicely civilized island group in which we spent a day of viewing, one of many special retreats for the English rich and famous. Pleasure boating is a major activity for the residents, and is visible in every direction. The main island rises nicely in the middle several hundred feet for viewing the surrounding islands. One distinctive area with clusters of huge boulders, The Baths, is specially nice for photographs. The Baths provides great viewing from above for its colorful foliage, and from the water’s edge for its rocks. The Quest entered her anchorage early in the morning and departed late afternoon for a full day’s outing. Lovely!
